The grocery store union – Southern California United Food & Commercial Workers Local 770 – has come to a tentative settlement with the management of Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons markets.
“We [Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons] are pleased to have received a tentative agreement that continues to preserve good wages, secure pensions and access to quality, affordable health care allowing us to be competitive in the market place,” said Kendra Doyel, spokesperson for Ralphs. “We appreciate the hard work, support and patience that many people have shown during the past eight months an particularly the last few weeks.”
Union and store representatives worked through the night to come to a tentative agreement. Details of the contract are not being released until it is presented and voted on by the union members.
