A 50-year-old La Cañada woman was arrested on driving under the influence after she collided with a tree in the 1900 block of Foothill Boulevard.
On Tuesday night at 9:15 p.m. Los Angeles County Sheriff Department deputies from Crescenta Valley Station responded to a call concerning a car that was resting on the edge of a hill. When deputies responded they found that the woman had apparently been leaving her home that was on the top of a hillside, west of the Crescenta-Cañada YMCA.
“She had apparently drifted off the roadway and her car collided into trees and came to a rest on the sloping hill,” said Sgt. Mark Slater.
There were no injuries reported. Deputies found that alcohol was a factor in the accident, Slater said.
The woman was arrested and booked for DUI.
