The community came out to support the Crescenta Valley Town Council and local non-profits for the council’s 10th annual pancake breakfast held Saturday morning at CV High School.

“It was a fabulous day,” said CVTC member and breakfast organizer Kyle Studebaker. “The American Legion was out in full force and we had wonderful support from the school’s health and science academy.”

Even dignitaries such as Kathryn Barger from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, and Vartan Gharpetian of the Glendale City Council and Dr. Armina Gharpetian from the GUSD board of education made sure to stop by to lend a hand and enjoy a hot breakfast.

The majority of the money raised from the pancake fundraiser will go toward scholarships for local graduating high school seniors.

Studebaker added that the event benefitted local students as well who sold tickets.

“Of each ticket sold, 50% of the proceeds are returned to the non-profit that sold it,” she said. “It’s a great fundraiser for our local non-profits.”

And for those who missed the fun, Rosemont Middle School is holding its annual Pancake Breakfast Concert on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the school campus.

The Rosemont Music Dept. hosts its Pancake Breakfast Concert each year as a fundraiser for their program.

This is breakfast and a show at their best. Breakfast consists of sausage, all-you-can-eat pancakes, orange juice and coffee. The students will be performing live music throughout the morning.

This is the Rosemont Middle School Music Dept.’s only fundraiser of the year. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door or from student musicians.

The Pancake Breakfast Concert is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rosemont Middle School, 4725 Rosemont Ave. The breakfast will go on, rain or shine, in the covered area of the school.
