To improve traffic safety, County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich announced that traffic modifications impacting the communities of Altadena, La Crescenta and Montrose were approved by the board of supervisors.
“With input from the community, these improvements will provide safe access to school for local youth community, enhance intersection safety and make street sweeping more efficient and effective,” Antonovich said.
In La Crescenta at Altura and Cloud avenues an all-way stop control will be installed at an angled intersection for northbound and southbound traffic on Cloud Avenue at Altura Avenue.
In Montrose on Florencita Avenue, to allow safe drop-off and pick-up of students at the Armenian Sisters Academy, the loading zone on the north side of Florencita Avenue east of Orangedale Avenue will be moved to Florencita Avenue east of Wickham Way, only on school days between the hours of
7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and from
2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
