Detectives at Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public’s help in identifying and claiming stolen property that was recovered after  arrests was made on Sept. 12.
Det. Brian Tibbett said the property recovered came from vehicle burglaries that occurred from early August to the Sept. 12 arrest.
“We have a number of unclaimed items. We are looking for anyone who may have been a victim of a vehicle burglary [within the time frame],” Tibbett said.
The items were recovered after three teens were arrested about 2 a.m. after a witness called the CV Sheriff’s Station stating he had seen the three suspects rummaging through a neighbor’s vehicle in the 2700 block of Frances Avenue. Witnesses gave a description of the suspect’s vehicle and deputies put out a crime broadcast. The suspects were found a short while later.
Jason Won Yoon, 19, and Ji Min Park, 18, both from La Crescenta, and Daniel Hong, 18, from Montrose, were arrested and several reported stolen items were found in their vehicle, according to a CV Sheriff’s Station report.
Tibbett said the suspects have been cooperating with law enforcement, and the vehicle burglaries do not appear to be drug related.
The suspects seem to target vehicles in Crescenta Valley only, Tibbet added.
Items that have been recovered include a skateboard, radio face plate, sunglasses, DVD, tools, knives, chargers, plush toys, battery cables, a Belkin transmitter and satellite radio with a remote control.
