Party Time Continues
The fall definitely is the kickoff to the party season and I’m happy to say that CV Weekly (in my opinion) leads the way. I’m talking, of course, about our annual The Finest party.
On Thursday last week we hosted over 125 people at Deukmejian Wilderness Park for our celebration. With incredible food provided by Gourmet a go go, flowers by Crescenta Valley Flowers, lighting, tables, linens and just about everything taken care of by Bonners Equipment and Party Rentals, I had no doubt that the evening would be perfect. I am so grateful to our staff here who did everything from set up tables to pouring beverages to greeting guests to shuttling partygoers back and forth from Markridge Road to the party entrance. I hope the evening was magical for our guests and they realize that being named The Finest by our readers is truly an accomplishment.
And I hope our readers often reference The Finest magazine that was distributed last week. It offers information on those named The Finest. If you don’t have a copy or need another, stop by the office – we have more here. Check out Leonard Coutin’s photos from the evening on page 9 to get a sense of how The Finest party.
Moving forward, it’s Oktoberfest time in Montrose! This Saturday, Oct. 6, the community (and surrounding communities) will turn out for one of our biggest events: Oktoberfest. The annual event begins at noon and lasts into the night – until 10 p.m. Guests can enjoy everything from live music, adult beverages (beer and wine), delicious German fare, games for the kids and the chance to reconnect with friends. There are new features at this year’s Oktoberfest; visit https://oktoberfest.montrosechamber.org/ to learn about this year’s schedule and read Victoria Malone’s article on page 25 to see who sponsors this event.
CV Weekly will be working at the wine booth; I hope you come by to say “hi!”
