Two Women Arrested for Prostitution in Glendale

Two women have been arrested for allegedly working as prostitutes in the city of Glendale.

On Sept. 29 the Glendale Police Department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit conducted a prostitution sting at two locations in the city of Glendale.

An undercover officer contacted Sunshine Massage in the 3500 block of Verdugo Road and scheduled an appointment for a massage. During the massage the 55-year-old South Pasadena woman/masseuse allegedly made an offer to the undercover officer to perform a sexual act for a fee. The woman was placed under arrest and cited for prostitution.

At a second location, officers had received information that a 30-year-old Corona woman was working as a prostitute in the area. An undercover officer contacted the woman over the phone and she agreed to meet with the officer at a hotel in the 1300 block of West Glenoaks in Glendale. She allegedly made an offer to the undercover officer to perform a sexual act for a fee. The woman was placed under arrest and cited for prostitution.

It should be noted that Sunshine Massage is a licensed establishment and the woman arrested possessed a valid license for massage therapy.

The Glendale Police Dept. will continue to conduct undercover prostitution sting operations in the City of Glendale. Anyone with information in relation to illegal activity occurring at a location or massage establishment is encouraged to contact the Vice/Narcotics Bureau at (818) 548-3120.
