On Wednesday morning, Glendale Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Vivian Ekchian sent a message to Clark Magnet High School welcoming its new principal: Dr. Brian Landisi.

“Dr. Brian Landisi has been selected as our next Clark Magnet High School principal effective Wednesday, Oct. 12. Dr. Landisi is a proud Glendale Unified alumnus. He began his educational career at Crescenta Valley High School teaching Spanish, yearbook and web design, and serving as the ASB (Associated Student Body) cabinet advisor. He was promoted to assistant principal in 2013 at Glendale High School before moving to Clark Magnet in 2015,” the message read.

In addition, the statement went on to praise Landisi, adding there was positive feedback from students, teachers, staff and families during the search for a new principal.

“It was clear that Dr. Landisi’s strengths reflect the needs of our Clark Magnet community,” according to the statement.

Tiffany Hirdler was announced as assistant principal at Clark Magnet. She began with GUSD in 2003 as a special education teacher at CVHS. She was promoted to teacher specialist in 2021 and is currently assigned to Valley View and Fremont elementary schools.

“Please join me in congratulating Dr. Landisi and Ms. Hirdler on their promotions and welcoming Ms. Hirdler to Clark Magnet,” stated Ekchian.
