A pursuit that began in the Sylmar area this afternoon ended on Pennsylvania Avenue in La Crescenta.
Preliminary information according to a California Highway Patrol spokesperson is that the pursuit was initiated by CHP as a failure to stop. The driver got onto the eastbound 210 Freeway in the Sylmar area and traveled on the 210 in excess of 100 mph. He exited the 210 on Pennsylvania Avenue heading north. The car stopped and the male driver and female passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The male was captured by CHP. At press time, the female has not been captured.
The vehicle was involved in minor accidents with no injuries on the streets of Sylmar and Glendale before the pursuit ended, said the CHP spokesperson.
