Oct. 12

2100 block of Cross Street in La Cañada Flintridge, the glass door of a home was shattered and the master bedroom was ransacked. A firearm and other items were missing. The security cameras were offline; it was discovered the electric panel boxes at the home had been tampered with.

The call concerning the theft occurred 2:31 p.m.

 

Oct. 11

900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, as a woman was shopping in the area she discovered her wallet, phone and checkbook were stolen from her purse. She had left her purse in the cart for a moment, she reported. She did not see anyone take the items.

The theft occurred between 4:15 p.m. and 5 p.m.

 

Oct. 10

4900 block of Alminar Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, several witnesses reported seeing a suspect, described as wearing a black sweater and blue jeans, drive a white pickup alongside a gardener’s truck. The suspect exited the vehicle and took a leaf blower out of the victim’s pickup, placed it in his vehicle and drove away at 1:10 p.m.

 

2300 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, while a deputy was stopped at a red light on Briggs Avenue and Foothill Boulevard he heard glass breaking. He looked in the direction of the sound and saw a white Toyota Tacoma parked in front of a store’s entrance. The deputy activated his patrol vehicle lights and attempted to detain the suspect; however, the suspect jumped into the driver’s seat and drove off eastbound on Ocean View Boulevard and out of view. The store’s front glass door of the window was shattered. There was a suspect in the driver’s seat and one in the passenger seat of the Tacoma. Suspect No. 1, the driver, was described as a male Hispanic with a bald head, about 40 years old with an average build. There was not a clear description of Suspect No. 2.

The attempted burglary occurred at 2:06 a.m.

 

Oct. 9

3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in Montrose, a vehicle was burglarized while parked in a parking lot at the location. Surveillance footage revealed a dark colored Jeep drive onto the parking lot and parked near the rear of the location. Two males exited the vehicle. Suspect No. 1 was described as White with long hair. He was wearing a white cowboy hat, white tank top, light blue shorts and white shoes. He had a dark colored cross body bag across his chest. Suspect No. 2 was described as White or Hispanic, wearing a purple shirt with a blue brand logo, blue jeans and white shoes. The two left the parking lot, then returned, got into their Jeep and drove around the parking lot. They then drove next to the victim’s car. Suspect No. 1 was seen getting out of the Jeep and opening the victim’s vehicle front passenger door, grab an unknown item, got into the vehicle. The Jeep then drove away.

The theft occurred at 6 p.m.

 

4300 block of Woodleigh Lane in La Cañada Flintridge, a sliding glass door to a home was smashed and several rooms were ransacked. At the time no items were reported stolen.

The burglary occurred overnight.
