Healthy Choices Support Troops
Candy Buy Back Event – Friday, November 1st, 2013

This Y is offering a unique children’s program called “Healthy Halloween” that targets the piles of candy collected on Halloween and gives incentives to kids to turn in their extra candy for a chance to win a bicycle.

A “Candy Buy-Back” is being held at local elementary schools, the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA and the Verdugo Hills Family YMCA. Kids can turn in their candy at any of these sites and receive one ticket for each pound of candy surrendered. At the end of the program, each site will draw a winning ticket and award the winner with a new bicycle. The collected candy will be donated to Operation Gratitude and sent to deployed troops serving across the globe.
