5300 block of Alta Cañada in La Cañada Flintridge, a 1987 white Toyota was stolen from the street at the location between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Oct. 23
1300 block of Journeys End Road in La Cañada, two tires on a vehicle were punctured with a half-inch hole while it was parked in the owner’s driveway between Oct. 21-23.

Oct. 22
Osborne Street and Foothill Boulevard in Lake View Terrace, a 22-year-old Arleta man was arrested by Crescenta Valley deputies for possession of a loaded gun with narcotics, suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a loaded and unregistered firearm. Deputies conducted a routine traffic stop and noticed a strong odor of what appeared to be marijuana. After an investigation the deputies discovered a small piece of plastic that allegedly contained a white powdery substance  resembling cocaine. Deputies also reportedly found ammunition to a “9mm gun under the driver’s seat of the vehicle and a fully loaded .357 Magnum revolver in the glove compartment, a 9mm Hi Point that was unloaded and secured with a chain lock through the magazine well and through the ejection port. There was also an empty magazine belonging to the Hi Point 9mm on the right rear passenger floorboard,” according to the report. The incident occurred at 6 p.m.

Oct. 21
1900 Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, credit cards and cash were stolen from a vehicle parked in the Crescenta-Cañada YMCA parking lot. The vehicle had pry marks underneath the driver’s side door handle. The incident was reported at 11:39 a.m.
