The Montrose Shopping Park Assn. held its annual “Spooktacular” event, drawing thousands of people to Honolulu Avenue. The board of the MSPA closed down Honolulu Avenue from Verdugo to Wickham Way to accommodate the Spooktacular guests. Merchants along the avenue, many dressed in costume, welcomed the trick-or-treaters with candy while oohing over their costumes.
