Rose Queen, Parade Grand Marshal Named

The 2018 Rose Queen has been crowned. Isabella Marie Marez, a senior at La Salle High School, will be the 100th Rose Queen for the upcoming New Year’s celebration. She is joined by her court and together they will officiate the Rose Bowl game and the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2018. The Royal Court includes Princesses Alexandra Artura of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Savannah Bradley from Pasadena High School, Lauren Buehner from Arcadia High School, Georgia Cervenka of La Cañada High School, Julianne Lauenstein from La Cañada High School and Sydney Pickering from Arcadia High School, along with Queen Isabella.

Award-winning actor Gary Sinise was named the grand marshal for the New Year’s Day parade. The theme for the 2018 event is “Making a Difference.”
