Town Council Elections Nov. 5
The Crescenta Valley Town Council is holding elections this Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library community room, 2809 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta.

Registered voters living in unincorporated county areas of La Crescenta and Montrose can vote. Identification is required.

Paint Out On Saturday
Crescenta Valley Arts Council 2011 presents the second annual Paint Out/public art exhibit and sale on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A wine and cheese reception is being held on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This is a juried art exhibition. Local artists are currently painting the architecture and natural settings of the Crescenta Valley and will exhibit their artwork over the weekend at historic St. Luke’s of the Mountains Episcopal Church. Awards categories include adult, youth, best in show, community favorite and theme award for best expression of the Crescenta Valley.

Awards will be presented at an artists’ wine and cheese reception on Saturday. Participating artists, guests and general public are invited. Join in this celebration of our community’s artistic heritage. For more information, visit crescentavalleyartscouncil.org.

Taste in Foothills Tickets Available
Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Taste in the Foothills event on Nov. 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Marketplace Shopping Center in the 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in the Ralph’s parking lot in La Crescenta. There will be live music performed by the CVHS Jazz Band and food to taste from several local restaurants.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids age 5-12. Proceeds benefit Crescenta Valley area elementary schools. For information, call (818) 248-4957.
