LASD Deputies Increasing Patrols In La Canada And Montrose

On Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at approximately 3:40 in the morning, deputy personnel from Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a possible prowler call on the 600 block of Chatman Place, La Canada.

According to the resident, she was awakened by the sound of someone walking through her backyard. She looked out the window and saw what appeared to be a man approximately 20 feet from her home. The resident awakened her husband, who yelled out to the man. The man then fled the yard out of sight.

Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the possible prowler.

Detectives are investigating whether a crime actually occurred and if this incident is related to two other prowler calls earlier during the week in the La Canada and Montrose area.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station has increased patrols in the area, while residents are encouraged to lock their homes and report any suspicious activity to Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station at (818) 248-3464.
