Three New Members on CVTC

On the local level on Saturday, La Crescenta residents came to the Community Room at La Crescenta Library to cast their vote for Crescenta Valley Town Council members.

There were six seats open, and six candidates. The top three vote getters were seated on the Council, the other three candidates are the first, second and third alternates.

The results from Saturday’s CVTC election are below:

The three-seated members of the council are:

Daniel Cheung won with 25.87% of the vote,

Robbyn Battles with 22.86%

Mike Claessens with 18.71%.

Each of the members listed above will each serve a three-year term.

The three alternate members are:

Robert Thomas with 14.55% of the vote

Leslie Dickson with 9.93%

Marti Marshall with 7.85%

They will each serve a one-year term.

The CVTC is an elected body that acts as a bridge between the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the unincorporated area of LA County in La Crescenta.
