3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, jewelry was stolen and a wall was damaged at a jewelry store. It appeared that access to the store was made through a unit next door to the store that was under construction. A person/persons apparently tore a hole in the wall between the two units and entered the jewelry store at 2:13 a.m.

2700 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, a phone charger and cord, science equipment and paperwork were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
Glenwood Avenue and Mary Street in La Crescenta, a Crescenta Valley High School student reported that as she was walking home from school she heard footsteps behind her and felt someone pulling forcefully on the strap of her purse that was over her shoulder. For a brief time there was a “tug of war” with the suspect for possession of the purse. The victim then grabbed the purse and hit the suspect on top of the head with it. The suspect released the purse, began laughing and fled the area.
The suspect is described as a male, 16-to-21 years old, 5’7” tall and weighing 150 pounds. At the time of the attempted robbery he was wearing a black hoodie and black jeans. The incident occurred at 4:30 p.m.
