2700 block of Ridgepine Avenue in La Crescenta, a truck caught on fire due to mechanical failure and damaged another vehicle nearby. The truck belongs to Crescenta Valley Water District. The fire occurred at 1:15 p.m.
810 block of Lynnhaven Lane in La Cañada, a homeowner reported returning home to find her front door was open; she had left it closed and locked. Cash, safes, jewelry and a handgun were stolen. It appeared a suspect/suspects entered the home by removing a window screen and prying the window open between 3:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.

2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, someone stole cash from a student’s backpack that was in an unlocked locker in the physical education room at Crescenta Valley High School between10:20 a.m. and 11:10 a.m.
5400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported receiving a series of annoying phone calls on her cellphone. The caller could not be identified because the number did not register on the woman’s phone. The caller left numerous voicemails although only one was clearly heard. She reportedly received 36 calls from this caller within 48 hours. Most of the messages, the caller would hang up or whisper. The one message that was audible was obscene.
The calls occurred between Nov. 5 at 7:44 a.m. and Nov. 6 at 4:38 p.m.
