The public is invited to see just how talented Crescenta Valley High School students are as they sing and dance their way across the MacDonald Auditorium stage.

“It is exciting. It is our second CV’s Got Talent show and we are attracting a new crowd of artists,” said Rubina Vertanians, a senior and member of CVHS Advanced Dance.

The school’s fall dance production used to be exclusive for dancers in the intermediate and advanced programs but last year the decision was made to extend the show to others. The production now highlights the talented students at the schools.

“I honestly feel the audience will be surprised at how much talent we have here. Everyone will get a chance to see not only the dancers but singers, a pianist and a local band will get a chance to showcase their talent,” Vertanians said.

This year the dancers have been putting in extra hours of rehearsal as well as producing the show.

“I think we will have a good show. It’s really a good atmosphere this year. We have a lot of freshman in advanced dance so we have really had to work hard but we are working as a team,” said Nicole Song, a senior and member of advance dance.

Most years the dance program is dominated by female dancers but this year they have chosen to highlight one talented newcomer, Tyler White.

“He is amazing. He is a very talented hip hop dancer. We are going to showcase him,” she said.

As with most productions putting a show on can be stressful especially when your talent and production staff has homework to contend with.

“It has been stressful. Getting all the dancers together and getting the costumes, but we are working together,” Vertanians said.

The show will feature singers including a duet, a local rock band and dancers…lots of dancers.

It promises not only to be an entertaining night but a great way to highlight the talented kids of Crescenta Valley.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the MacDonald Auditorium at CVHS.Tickets are $2 for students and $5 for adults.
