Nov. 19

7900 block of Hillrose Street in Sunland/Tujunga, Los Angeles Police Dept.-Robbery Division was serving warrants on two individuals at the location. Suspect 1 responded to the LAPD’s orders to exit the building while Suspect 2 did not. LAPD SWAT [Special Weapons and Tactics] responded and Suspect 2 eventually responded to LAPD orders to exit the location. There were no injuries reported. LAPD Robbery Division first went to the location at 7 a.m.

 

Nov. 18

Ocean View and Foothill boulevards in La Cañada, a man reported that as he was driving, a newer model black Mercedes with paper plates abruptly cut him off at the intersection of Ocean View and Foothill. The man honked his horn at the Mercedes in response and the driver of the Mercedes slammed on his brakes. The man was able to maneuver his vehicle avoiding a collision with the Mercedes. The two drivers rolled down their vehicle windows and had a verbal exchange. At one point the driver of the Mercedes spat at the man and the saliva landed on the face of the other man. The man took his phone out to record the incident as the driver of the Mercedes pulled over, got out of his car and began walking toward him. When the Mercedes driver realized he was being photographed he got back into his vehicle and drove onto the Foothill (210) Freeway.

The incident occurred at 1:10 p.m.

 

Nov. 17

4300 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, U.S. currency, an iPod and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

Nov. 16

Angeles Crest Highway, a woman reported that she had parked in a parking area in Angeles National Forest and went hiking. When she returned she found the right rear passenger side window of her vehicle was shattered and a purse with personal items was stolen from the vehicle between noon and 2:45 p.m.

 

1900 block of Gold Canyon Truck Trail in Tujunga, a woman reported that she had parked her vehicle in a parking area within the Angeles National Forest. She locked her vehicle doors and went for a hike. When she returned she found the front driver’s side window of her vehicle smashed and her wallet was stolen from the trunk of her vehicle between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

 

Nov. 15

2400 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a man reported going inside his bank and withdrawing money from his account via a teller. He then put the cash into an envelope. He went to his vehicle and placed the envelope inside the glove compartment.

The man then drove home and parked his vehicle. He locked his car and went inside his home leaving the envelope inside the glove compartment. When he returned to the vehicle the front passenger window was shattered and the envelope of cash was stolen from the glove compartment between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

 

Nov. 13

2100 block of Brierhaven Avenue in La Crescenta, the window of a sliding glass door was shattered and a designer bag was stolen from a home between 7:30 a.m. and 8:50 p.m.

 

Oct. 25

1900 block of Verdugo Road in La Cañada, an employee of a business reported that, as she was entering the business through the employee entrance, another employee engaged her in conversation. The second employee, a male, then grabbed her without her permission, pulled her close to him and kissed her neck. She reported it to a fellow co-worker immediately after the incident occurred and told the manager several days later. The victim has given her notice to terminate her employment.
