GPD Accepting Applications

 

The City of Glendale is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer Recruit now through Dec. 11.

GPD’s assignments include SWAT, K-9, Motorcycle Duty, Air Support, Special Enforcement Detail, Detectives, Community Lead Officer, Crisis Negotiation Team, School Resource Officer, Patrol, and Task Force Officer with local, state and federal agencies.

The selection process includes a written exam, physical agility test, background investigation, polygraph, psychological examination, oral interview and a medical examination.

Once the applicants are selected, they will attend the police academy for basic law enforcement training for 22 weeks. After completion of the academy, the trainee will be sworn in and start an intense six month field training program.

Annual Base Salary: $75,396.00 – $98,544.00
