For 26 years, the La Crescenta Woman’s Club, Junior Section, has hosted Breakfast with Santa at its clubhouse at 4004 La Crescenta Ave. The event will be held this year on Dec. 9 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Breakfast is served until 10 a.m.
Each year kids and adults have a wonderful breakfast that includes a special gift for the children, entertainment and, of course, a visit with Santa.
The event is held for the benefit of children in the Crescenta Valley community. The LCWC supports kids through donations and scholarships. This year the event will offer a holiday crafts table for children and will include the services of a face painter. The audience will be entertained by the Crescenta Valley High School Charismatics.
Kids can have pictures taken with Santa. The Los Angeles County Fire Dept. will be on hand for an up-close view of a fire engine and there will be photo opportunities as well.
The historical LCWC clubhouse has recently been remodeled and it is guaranteed to be very festive with holiday decorations.
The event is one of the largest fundraisers for the Junior Section of LCWC. The funds raised will help the Club accomplish LCWC’s yearly philanthropic goals, including support of community safety, education and conservation programs. The Club also advocates for children and those less fortunate through many of its programs.
“I love these memories, right here with the whole family. But it’s also a win-win because we’re making money for charity, and we donate to so many different organizations, too numerous to even mention, but a lot in the local community and some international,” said Dawna Berger, LCWC Juniors Section member, in an earlier interview.
The event averages 50 to 60 attendees. It is advised to order tickets in advance to reserve a space as it tends to sell out early. Tickets are $15 per person for presale and $20 per person at the door. Tickets can be purchased on the Club’s website at www.lacrescentawomansclub.org, then click on Junior Section or email lcwcjuniors@gmail.com.
