The CVHS football team made history on Friday completing their second 14-0 season, capped off by their CIF title win over Simi Valley High School by a final score of 19-16.
The game was straight out of a movie with rain falling throughout the game and temperatures dipping into the low 40s. Starting quarterback Chase Center returned to the field after injury to lead his team to the win. The defense gave a dominant performance with seven of the Simi Valley points coming on a blocked punt returned for a touchdown.
In Hudson Gossard’s first season as head coach the Falcons had the best season imaginable: CIF champions, the second undefeated team in school history, and a significant note in Gossard’s career at CV, both as a player and coach.
