Free Tree Debris Drop Off Events

Local waste haulers in the unincorporated communities of La Crescenta, Altadena and Kinneloa Mesa, East Pasadena/East San Gabriel, Citrus, and East Charter Oak have coordinated with the Los Angeles County Public Works Department and the Department of Parks & Recreation to offer a free disposal service to residents of the unincorporated communities,” Los Angeles County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich announced.

The times and locations of the free tree debris drop-off events are:

*     La Crescenta:
Hauler – Allied Waste Services (888) 742-5234
Location –  Crescenta Valley Regional Park, 3901 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta
Dates – Saturday (Dec 3) and Sunday (Dec 4) 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*    Altadena and Kinneloa Mesa:
Hauler – Athens Services (888) 336-6100
Location – Charles Farnsworth Park (lower parking area), 568 East Mount Curve Ave., Altadena
Dates – Saturday (Dec 3) and Sunday (Dec 4) 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*     East Pasadena/East San Gabriel:
Hauler – Burrtec Waste Industries (800) 325-9417
Location – County Public Works Facility, corner Duarte Road and Highland Ave., Duarte (far east side of City of Hope)
Dates – Saturday (Dec 3) and Saturday (Dec 10) 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*     Citrus:
Hauler – Waste Management (800)266-7551
Location – Valleydale Park, 5525 North Lark Ellen Ave., Azusa
Dates – Saturday (Dec 3) 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*    East Charter Oak:
Hauler – Ware Disposal (877) 714-9273
Location –  Charter Oak Park, 20261 East Covina Blvd., Covina
Dates – Saturday (Dec 3) 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents are urged to call their local waste hauler prior to utilizing the service for instructions on how to prepare their tree debris for drop-off. Proof of residency is required.

Residents are also advised to continue to using their large green waste bins for smaller tree debris and to contact their waste hauler to arrange pick-up of additional excess tree debris on their regular trash collection day.
