A 14-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and thrown about 20 feet as he was crossing northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue at about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The boy was walking in a marked crosswalk at Honolulu Avenue at Pennsylvania, according to a Glendale police report.
The driver was traveling northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue and turning west onto Honolulu. She reportedly told officers she did not see the pedestrian until her vehicle struck him.
It appeared the boy sustained minor injuries with abrasions to his knees and chin. He was transported to Children’s Hospital. His parents were notified and responded to the hospital.
The accident is still under investigation.
