Last Saturday’s Montrose Glendale Christmas Parade was a little wet and a little cold but it was still a successful event. There were some organizations that dropped out of the lineup due to the weather but those that stayed walked the misty Honolulu Avenue waving and smiling along the way. Big cheers were given by all for the grand marshal, the Crescenta Valley High School varsity football CIF champions.
It takes about 100 volunteers to keep the parade running smoothly, including many students and parents from Crescenta Valley High School, Rosemont Middle School and Clark Magnet High School as well as Boy Scouts.
The Montrose Glendale Christmas Parade did see some uncharacteristically negative behavior toward some parade entrants from a few in attendance but not enough to take away from the overall small town holiday celebration.
