Dec. 7

4200 block of Woodleigh Lane in La Cañada, members of a family left their home at about 9 a.m. When one resident returned home from work, he did not notice anything unusual. Another of the residents came home and they had dinner. Later that night, they went upstairs and noticed a gray backpack laying the restroom floor. They also noticed the master bedroom and other rooms had been ransacked. A safe that had once been on a shelf in the study was found on the bed in the master bedroom; it had been pried open and the jewelry was missing.

The burglary appeared to occur between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

 

Dec. 5

2700 block of Pinelawn Drive in La Crescenta, a resident returned home and found the sliding glass door leading to her master bedroom had been shattered. The master bedroom had been ransacked but nothing appeared to have been stolen between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

 

Dec. 4

3100 block of Paraiso Way in La Crescenta, a man was sitting in the front room of his home when he was notified on his cellphone by his camera alarm that someone was at the front porch. He viewed the screenshots on his cellphone that showed someone peeking into his home through a front window. Deputies were called but were not able to find the suspect. It appeared the suspect left the area in a dark colored vehicle, possibly a Mazda two-door hatchback, at 5:47 a.m.

 

Dec. 3

1500 block of Descanso Drive in La Cañada, the front driver’s window was shattered on a vehicle between 2:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

2200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an employee at a drive-through business said that a man ran toward the drive-through window and grabbed the tip jar and ran away at 5:20 p.m.

800 block of Chehalem Road in La Cañada, residents came home to find a glass pane had been shattered in a rear door of a home between 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m.

 

Dec. 2

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman was shopping at a store and had placed her purse in the shopping cart. She was trying on a sweater and noticed a man leaning toward the cart. She thought he was trying to get past her so she moved over. When she returned back to the cart, she noticed her purse was gone. The male suspect is described as Armenian, about 30 years old, 5’7” tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He had black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a black shirt. The theft occurred at 5 p.m.

 

Dec. 1

800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an employee at a cellphone store reported that, as she was sitting behind the front desk of the store, she saw two black males enter. The first man told the employee he wanted to transfer some lines; the second man was browsing the displays throughout the store. Then, at the same time, the men began cutting the security cords connected to several electric devices.

They grabbed the items and ran out of the store at 6:40 p.m.

800 block of Greenridge Drive in La Cañada, a resident returned home to find a balcony door window had been smashed, several rooms ransacked and jewelry and cash were stolen at 4 p.m.

4200 block of Oakwood Avenue in La Cañada, a resident returned to his home to find the upstairs balcony door window smashed and several rooms had been ransacked. It was not yet determined if anything was missing from the home.

The incident occurred between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

1200 block of Fernside Drive in La Cañada, a metal tool box on a truck was damaged  overnight.

2100 block of Crescent Avenue in Montrose, the hood of a vehicle was vandalized overnight.
