Dec. 5
Mount Wilson Road in the Angeles National Forest, a worker noticed that a hole had been cut in a fence at the area. Nothing else appeared to be damaged or missing. The damage occurred overnight.

500 block of Georgian Road in La Cañada Flintridge, the rear glass door of a residence was smashed. After being notified by her security service that an alarm had been activated in her home the resident returned home to find LASD deputies had already arrived. There did not appear to be anything in the house that was disturbed. Surveillance footage revealed two males wearing dark hoodies who obscured their faces. They appeared briefly in the footage before disappearing.

The incident occurred at 5:12 p.m.

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, while on patrol deputies noticed the outdoor package drop box had been pried open. The door was open and the locking mechanism had been damaged. The incident was discovered at 3:12 a.m.

2400 block of Harmony Place in La Crescenta, a woman reported that as she was outside in her garage a gray four-door sedan stopped in the middle of the road. The gray sedan stopped in front of the woman’s house and the female passenger in the front seat waved her over. The passenger told the woman she was trying to find the freeway. The resident gave her directions and the passenger reached over to hug the woman to thank her. Then the passenger grabbed the woman’s left hand and started to place three rings on her fingers while at the same time attempting to slip off from her hand the woman’s wedding ring. The woman noticed her ring starting to slip off her finger; she told the passenger she would not take the wedding ring off. The passenger told her to put the ring in her (the resident’s) pocket. The passenger then pulled out a gold chain necklace and told the woman she could give the necklace to her husband. The passenger proceeded to reach into the woman’s pocket, where her wedding ring was, to put the necklace in that pocket. The woman realized the passenger was acting suspiciously and moved away. The vehicle left the area. The woman was left with rings and a necklace the passenger had attempted to give her. The woman was thinking how odd this interaction was and she noticed her own gold necklace was gone that she had been wearing during the encounter. There were other suspects in the vehicle. The front passenger, backseat passenger and driver were described as female wearing hijabs. Another backseat passenger was described as a male with have dark eyes and dark hair.

The incident occurred at 10:19 a.m.

 

Dec. 4
2500 block of Prospect Avenue in Montrose, a woman reported mailing out a check and placing it in an exterior mailbox. Three days later she checked her bank statement and found a picture of the check she had mailed with another name and another amount on the check than she had originally written. Her signature also appeared to be forged.

The incident occurred between Dec. 4 and Dec. 7.

 

Nov. 28
4600 block of El Camino Corto in La Cañada Flintridge, a hot tub cover was stolen and a water filter was damaged at a home between Nov. 28 and Dec. 2.
