Dec. 15

2600 block of Honolulu Avenue in Montrose, Glendale police made a total of nine arrests at The Mix. The arrests were made just north of Honolulu Avenue on Rosemont Avenue. The suspects who were going into The Mix were contacted because of alcohol violations. Three suspects were arrested for felony gun possession; six for misdemeanors and seven were given traffic tickets. There were several incidents that occurred in the area throughout the night, according to Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

Dec. 12

4300 Beulah Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, several rooms were ransacked and cash was stolen from a home between 5 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.

Lowell and Honolulu avenues in Glendale, a 29-year-old Glendale man was arrested for driving under the influence. As the man was driving on Montrose Avenue approaching Florencita Avenue he allegedly drove into a lane of traffic almost colliding with a Glendale police patrol vehicle. The officer activated his lights and the suspect stopped at Lowell and Honolulu.  It was raining, the officer told the driver to pull under the freeway overpass. The suspect put his vehicle in reverse and collided with the officer’s vehicle. He was arrested for DUI at 2:46 a.m.

Moore Street and Foothill Boulevard in Glendale, a 48-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested for driving under the influence after an officer stopped a driver on a traffic violation at 11:39 p.m.

Dec. 11

600 and 500 block of Starlight Crest Drive in La Cañada, four cars at separate homes were burglarized in the area.  Vehicle windows were shattered and a variety of items were stolen overnight.

700 block of Forest Green Drive in La Cañada, two vehicles at separate homes were burglarized. The rear driver’s windows were shattered in each vehicle and several items were stolen overnight.

Dec. 9

5300 block of Ivafern Lane in La Cañada, a woman received an e-mail from her cellphone company that she had used her phone replacement insurance to purchase two cellphones. She did not purchase or authorize any purchases of cellphones. The purchases were made on Nov. 23.

Dec. 8

3600 block of Anderson Avenue, a vehicle was vandalized when someone “keyed” the door overnight.

Dec. 7

300 block of Sunset Avenue in Montrose, a man reported that he had placed several pieces of musical equipment in a friend’s car while it was parked in his driveway. He accidently left a guitar in the driveway and the two drove off. When he realized the guitar was missing he went back to the location but it was not there.  He reported the loss at 10:30 p.m.
