On Monday, with a unanimous decision, the Burbank City Council appointed Nick Schultz to serve as the mayor of Burbank. Schultz is running to succeed Laura Friedman to serve in the 44th District in the State Assembly.
On the appointment, Schultz expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by his colleagues and the community, reiterating his commitment to leading Burbank towards a prosperous and sustainable future.
“I am deeply honored and humbled by the unanimous support from my fellow council members,” said Mayor Schultz. “This role comes with great responsibility and I pledge to serve with integrity, transparency and a relentless focus on the needs and aspirations of all Burbank residents. Together, we will work to make our city a beacon of progress and inclusivity.”
