Glasses Stolen from Montrose Optometry

A man walked into Montrose Optometry at 2251 Honolulu Ave. on Monday, and then ran out wiith two pairs of high-end sunglasses with an estimated worth of $600.

“About 2:30 p.m. this afternoon [Monday] a man described as white, in his 30s, unshaven with a heavy build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black hoodie [sweatshirt] and a cap.

“He [walked] in the store and started looking at the sunglasses,” said Lt. Ian Grimes, Glendale Police Department.

He brought up two pairs of sunglasses, Christian Dior and Chloe designs, and said he wanted to purchase them, Grimes said.

“He takes the sunglasses and runs out of the store to a waiting vehicle,” he added.

The man ran to a vehicle that was waiting on Market Street. The vehicle is described as a gray metallic four-door small sedan.
