Dec. 18

5400 block of Rock Castle Drive in La Cañada, a garage door opener was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

Dec. 16

3700 block of Hampstead Road in La Cañada, an air compressor and several construction tools were stolen from a residence under construction between Dec. 16 and Dec. 18.

3900 block of Alta Vista Drive in La Cañada, the sliding glass door of a home was shattered and several drawers and closets were gone through. There did not appear to be anything stolen; the incident occurred overnight.

1900 North Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada, the steering wheel airbag was stolen and the driver’s side door lock was punched in on a vehicle between 9:20 p.m. and 12:45 a.m.

1000 Flintridge Drive in La Cañada, a resident arrived home to find his front door had been forced open. The rooms were not ransacked and it appeared nothing was stolen.

The incident occurred between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

4500 block of Daleridge Road in La Cañada, a resident reported being awakened by his dog barking. He got out of bed and walked out of his bedroom where he saw what appeared to be the shine from a flashlight coming from the kitchen. He yelled at his wife. The minute he yelled the light turned off and he heard footsteps running toward the kitchen door.

He went to the kitchen and saw the exterior door open; he was certain it was locked before. He then saw a dark colored sports car driving out of his driveway and out of view. He later discovered several pry marks on his kitchen door and the doorframe had been damaged.

The incident occurred at 11:30 p.m.

700 block of Hillcrest Avenue in La Cañada, the resident returned home to find the rear sliding glass door of his home had been shattered. It was later found that two burglary alarm control panels had been torn off the walls, one in the front of the home and the other near the garage. The resident found a black, hooded sweater on the dining room cabinet that did not belong to him. It did not appear any items were taken.

The incident occurred between 11 a.m. and 7:43 p.m.

Dec. 16

4100 block of Dover Road in La Cañada, a screen door had been cut and jewelry was stolen from a home between 2:15 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Dec. 15

900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, deputies responded to an alarm at a business and found the glass window of an office door had been broken between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Dec. 16.

3800 block of Park Place in Montrose, a garbage bin was vandalized by spray painted graffiti overnight.
