Many emergency responders including the Los Angeles County bomb squad were called out on Dec. 16 to a fire at the La Crescenta First Baptist Church at 4441  La Crescenta Ave.

The L.A. County bomb squad is also the arson/explosive unit. The fire was an isolated incident and the suspect was identified and detained, said Capt. Dave Silversparre.
