Jean Lucille Roach

Nov. 9, 1922 – Jan. 6, 2013
Jean Lucille Roach joined her loving husband Hal in heaven on Jan. 6. Her passing came almost two months after celebrating her 90th birthday.

Jean was born on Nov. 9, 1922 in Albuquerque, N.M. and moved to Winslow, Ariz. as a baby. She lived in Winslow for almost 20 years (often “standing on the corner” as the Eagles sang!) and then moved to Glendale. She and Hal married in 1947.

Jean leaves behind her three children and their spouses: Pat Brantly, Jim Roach (Janie), and Nancy Chase (Curt); five grandchildren: Stacie, Kyle, Molly, Amy and Kevin.

Jean loved God, her family and her friends. We have been loved, and learned to love, in a way which will be passed on to future generations. We will miss her every day, but she will live on in the memory of all who knew her. We will do well to live her legacy of faith, family and love.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2411 Montrose Ave. in Montrose. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale will follow the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
