Faye Cable was born on May 20, 1934 as Faye Klein in Baltimore, Maryland. She married Barry Feldman in 1952 and they had three children: Beth (Joseph) Volpe, Gene (Patricia) Feldman and Amy (David) Bibbey.
Faye lived most of her life in Baltimore, moving with her family to Colorado Springs in 1970. Faye and Barry moved to California in 1981 and divorced the following year.
In 1995, Faye married Kenneth Cable in Hawaii. They moved from the Bay Area of California to Phoenix, Arizona, and finally to Pine Lakes in Prescott, Arizona.
Being an incredibly social presence, Faye was enveloped by everyone she met. She volunteered at the Prescott Library and was a greeter in the neighborhood she lived in. Most of her career was in the insurance industry including working at the famous Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco and later at Robb Stuckey Furniture in Arizona.
After Ken’s passing, Faye sold her home and made the move to Glendale in 2016 to be closer to family. Six days after her move, she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Faye continued to live the best life possible with grace and incredible courage under the circumstances. She passed in the presence of her family on Jan. 12.
She is survived by her three children, their spouses and grandchildren: Brian (Darci) Jeffcoat, Katelyn Jeffcoat; Alex, Austin, and Olivia Feldman; and Sam, Spencer and Sophia Bibbey; her pride and joy, great grandson Banks Jeffcoat; and sisters Norma (Don) Varsubsky and Myra (Larry) Mager. She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Bertha (Melamet) Klein, husband Kenneth Cable, first husband Barry Feldman, brother-in-law Larry Mager, and grandson David J. Bibbey.
A celebration of Faye’s life will be held on Friday, Jan. 19 at 3 p.m. at Vessey Funeral Home in Wellington, Colorado with interment immediately following at Highlands Cemetery, 9192 NE Frontage Road, Wellington, Colorado.
