Jerrie Ann Marson was born in Tonopah, Nevada to Raymond and Virginia Germain. Following in her parents’ footsteps she moved to Reno, Nevada to attend UNR and pursue her degree in education. She married Max Goble. Max and Jerrie moved to El Paso, Texas where Max worked for NASA at White Sands Test Facility. After a short stint in Coco Beach, Florida they settled in Tujunga where they raised their three children. After becoming a widow in 1979, in 1981 Jerrie married Arno “Al” Marson.
Jerrie always had a love for education, both professionally and personally. Jerrie was an elementary school teacher at Apperson Street Elementary and guidance counselor with the Los Angeles Unified School District until moving to Incline Village, Nevada. Through the years she earned two master’s degrees and a doctorate. Later in her career she served as a student teacher supervisor with the UNR School of Education. She retired in 2010.
She was active in Masonic youth programs and was an Eastern Star.
Jerrie is survived by her daughter Cheri Glockner (Jim), sons Scott Potter (Mark) and Tim Goble (Pam); five grandsons: Trevor (Abi), Zachary (Jillian) and Adam (Molly) Johnson, Ryan (Sloan) Goble and Cory Goble; six great-children: Oliver, Conner, Augustus, Haley, Romy and Neve. She is also survived by her brother Jim Germain (Mari) and Mary Burnham (Jerry) and several nieces and nephews.
