Feb. 10, 1993 – Jan. 15, 2020

Benjamin Bolan was born in Glendale. He grew up in La Crescenta and attended Lincoln Elementary, Rosemont Middle and Crescenta Valley High schools and Glendale Community College. 

Ben had a number of hobbies. He was an avid musician and songwriter and enjoyed artistic endeavors like drawing and painting. Ben spent a great deal of time in the local mountains, hiking the trails of the Verdugo Mountains, the San Gabriel Mountains up Big Tujunga and Angeles Crest, and exploring the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Olancha and Lone Pine. Ben was highly intelligent, read science-based materials for fun and expressed that he wanted to work as an organic chemist someday. He enjoyed explaining the complexities of music theory and chemistry.

Ben is survived by his parents Jeffrey and Susan; brother Zachary; sister Delaney of La Crescenta; and his fiancé Carlie Anne Sweeney of Montrose. He will be dearly missed by friends and family.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Ben’s life on Friday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. at Angeles National Golf Club.
