Larry Thomas, age 73, beloved husband, father, uncle and brother, passed away peacefully at home in San Luis Obispo on Jan. 6.

Larry was born on Christmas Day in 1951 in La Crescenta to Richard Lee & Betty Jean Thomas, both of whom were lifelong residents of this area. He also spent the majority of his life in the area until moving to Lake Tahoe and San Luis Obispo in recent years. He was a graduate of Crescenta Valley High School, class of 1970, where he also met the love of his life. Larry graduated from Glendale Community College and Cal State LA, and he proceeded to have a successful career in accounting for various companies in Southern California. He also worked in the Christian music field.

His real love and interest was music. Larry was always in a band and performed not only in the local area, but in Las Vegas and places as far away as Cuba and Iceland. He also wrote countless songs and made numerous albums during his life and was always active in church music.

Larry was predeceased by his parents as well as his son Jeffrey. He is survived by his devoted wife as well as brother David, and seven nephews.

Larry’s strong Christian faith guided him in life and he is most assuredly with the Lord now. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
