Judith May Conklin passed away peacefully on Feb. 28 surrounded by her family at Huntington Hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1940 to Charles and Madeline Packard.
Judith graduated from El Camino Real High School in San Gabriel. She enjoyed traveling as an Episcopal Church missionary and snow skiing and camping. She worked as an administrative secretary at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which is where she met her husband. She married David Conklin on June 20, 1964 and they began their life together in La Crescenta and retired in La Cañada.
She was a member of the Junior’s Women’s Club, was PTA president at La Crescenta Elementary School, guardian secretary of Jobs Daughters Bethel 153, and a member of Glendale Emblem Club and the Glendale Elks Gallivanters. She enjoyed traveling all over the world, camping in her motorhome, spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading and loving her pets.
Judith is survived by her husband of 53 years; daughter Christie; son Travis; grandchildren Madelyn and Edward; and her brother Charles Packard.
