Alexander Kirkaldy

Jan. 5, 1928 – March 22, 2020

Alexander Kirkaldy 92, born in Mt. Kisco, New York on Jan. 5, 1928, passed away on March 22. He was the son of Alexander and Elizabeth Kirkaldy.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Teresa Kirkaldy; son Keith Kevin (Joyce); grandsons Keith James (Hannalore), Kevin Alexander (Emily) and Jason Christopher Kirkaldy; great-grandchildren Caroline, Kevin Sawyer and Jocelyn Kirkaldy.
Alex served with pride in the Army Air Corps during World War II and re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as a microwave/radar technician. Alex volunteered with the LA County Sheriff’s Montrose Search and Rescue team for 35 years. He also volunteered for Glendale Mayor’s Committee for the Handicapped (ADA), American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, La Cañada AM Kiwanis and Brothers’ Helpers preparing food to be served downtown Los Angeles to those in need. He loved serving his fellow man.
Alex enjoyed working on his 1939 Ford Roadster (hot rod) and being a member of the Jewel City Model A Ford Club and Early Rodders of La Cañada. Alex loved God, his family, his many relatives and many friends, and he would have said “What a life and well lived.”
