Feb. 24, 1928 – March 2, 2012

Donna was born to Kennett and Alice Bellmore on Feb. 24, 1928 in San Pedro, Calif. She spent most of her life as a California resident, briefly living in Portland, Ore. as a child.

Donna married Dean Hopley in 1950. The couple met through Donna’s close friend Lila. Donna and Dean settled in La Crescenta and spent 56 loving years together traveling, raising their children and eventually spending time with their grandchildren, whom she cherished.

Donna held various administrative jobs over the years, but devoted her time as homemaker once Mark and Sue were born. Once the kids were grown, she pursued an award-winning career in real estate.

In her 84 years, Donna developed a deep love for Dean, her children, grandchildren, travel and most of all for life itself.

Donna passed away peacefully at the home she shared with those she loved on March 2. She leaves behind her brother Bob and sister-in-law Louise; her two children Mark and Sue; daughter-in-law Cathy; grandchildren Brandon, Sarah, Cameron and Halie; and some of the best friends a girl could have.

A private burial at sea is planned per her wishes.
