Dec. 22, 1955 – April 21, 2019

Michael Joseph Tebbs, loving husband and father, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 21 at the age of 63.

Michael was born on Dec. 22, 1955 in Burbank to William and Zenaida Tebbs. He graduated from Alemany High School in 1974, where he distinguished himself as an athlete in football and baseball and became a lifelong sports fan. He continued his education at the College of the Canyons. Later he followed in his father’s footsteps by working in construction during his early years and as a building code enforcement official later in life.

Michael’s greatest passion was his family with whom he loved spending time and sharing all of his interests. He was an adventurous spirit who enjoyed skiing and being outdoors, especially in the Mammoth and Lake Tahoe regions. He was an avid animal lover, especially of dogs, and there was usually at least one dog at his home.

He will be remembered for his patriotism, his love of classic rock and his favorite sports team the Oakland Raiders. He will be missed for his easy smile, his distinctive laugh and his gentle, loving spirit.

Michael is survived by his wife of 29 years Karen; his daughters Alison and Katelynn; his sister Ilene; and an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father William and mother Zenaida.

Michael will be greatly missed.
