Lawrence was born in Ponca City, Okla. and relocated to California in his teenage years. He is survived by his wife Vivian; eight children; 24 grandchildren; and 44 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Randy.

Lawrence worked in the aerospace industry for many years and also worked as a film editor. Upon retirement, he became an excellent handyman and was much loved by his customers.

Lawrence was a devout Christian and sang in church choirs since the fifth grade. As a young man he was a guitar player in a country western band.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Santa Clarita, Copper Hill.
