 James Lumsden of La Crescenta passed away on June 3 at home surrounded by his family after a hard battle with cancer. Jim worked at JPL in Pasadena for 42 years, retiring as system safety manager. Jim was engineer in Propulsion at JPL before transitioning to system safety, supporting many flight projects and launch campaigns.

Jim enjoyed his retirement years spending time on his ranch at Frazier Park and enjoying the many cruises he went on with his beloved wife and childhood sweetheart Fae.

Jim is survived by his wife; three children Michael, Shonna and Shelley; and grandchildren Kaylee and William.

He will be sorely missed.
