March 21, 1936 – July 4, 2017
Warren J. Boehm, 81, left this earth while asleep at home early in the morning on his favorite holiday.
Warren was born at home in Le Center, Minnesota. His parents, Frank and Kathryn, and brother Lambert (deceased) left Minnesota when Warren was 2 years old to arrive in Eagle Rock. He attended St. Dominic’s Eagle Rock High and St. Mary’s in Morago, California.
In February 1958, Warren and Marilyn were married in Eagle Rock and a year later moved to the community of La Crescenta where they had four children: Bernadette (William), Christopher, Theresa (Jeff), and Carolyn. The couple has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Warren opened his own business on Foothill Boulevard in Tujunga as an agent for Farmer’s Insurance from 1961-2008.
Warren was active in the community almost immediately becoming involved with Montrose Search and Rescue as a team member, the Knights of Columbus-Montrose becoming Grand Knight, and Crescenta Valley Chamber serving as president. He was a person who enjoyed being a part of anything, anywhere and at anytime for the community he loved. In the most recent years of retirement his health began to fail so activities were limited and this was difficult for him.
He died knowing that even from above CV Chamber members will have his insight.
He leaves behind his wife, family and many friends. He will be remembered and missed.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at St. James the Less, 4651 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta with reception following in the hall.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Montrose Search and Rescue team or the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce.
