Feb. 13, 1921 – Aug. 10, 2012

Evelyn “Mickey” Maynard, age 91, went peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 10.  She was born on Feb. 13, 1921. She had been a resident of La Crescenta since 1964.

Her husband Louis (Lou) preceded her in death in 1996 after 56 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter Marsha (partner Janice); son Richard and daughter-in-law Christine; grandchildren David Maynard and Deborah Zamora (husband Orlando); and two great-grandchildren Dylan and Jordan Zamora.

Mickey was a wonderful golfer until 2006 when she had to give up this wonderful sport because of medical reasons. She still followed the sport with friends, players and, of course, television.

She was a true lady who will be deeply missed by all who came in contact with her throughout her life. She was a very caring and loving person to all.

Per her wishes, there will be no services. She will be cremated and her ashes scattered at sea in the same location as her husband’s.
