Virginia Langton passed away peacefully and was ushered into heaven to be with her Lord on July 31. She was 95.
Virginia was born in Boise, Idaho. She graduated from UCLA and was affiliated with Alpha Delta Chi sorority and Omicron Nu honor society. She taught school until she married John Langton, M.D. They settled in La Cañada, raising two daughters. Her activities revolved around the children, church, family boating, and the many hobbies that John pursued. In later years, she worked with her husband in his medical practice in Montrose until his death. Her last years were spent at Friendsview Manor, a retirement community in Oregon.
She is survived by her two daughters, Candace of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Claudia of La Crescenta, and their husbands; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her younger brother Randall of Newberg, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1995, and her older sister Elizabeth.
A celebration of life reception will be held at Friendsview Manor on Sept. 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Donations can be made in her memory to Friendsview Assistance Fund, 1301 Fulton St., Newberg, OR 97132.
