James A. White, 81, passed away on Aug. 27 at his home in Sunland. Jim was born in Moon Run, Pa. on Oct. 14, 1931 and graduated from Robinson Township High School in 1949. He was also a veteran of the Korean War.
Jim was the son of the late Robert August White and Carrie Mae White. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Norma Jean White; two sons Carl White (Kathy) of Northridge and David White (Traci) of Huntington Beach; and daughter Susan Trinidad (Mark) of Camarillo. He leaves behind three grandchildren: Corey, Jolie and Jenna.
Jim is also survived by his sister Ruth Frey (Roger) of San Diego, and brothers Robert White of Oakdale, Pa. and Donald White (Lois) of Disputana, Va., and many nieces and nephews.
In his retirement, Jim spent much of his time fishing, bowling at Mission Hills Bowl and playing cards with his family. His silly antics and sense of humor will be missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Crippen Mortuary, 2900 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose (818) 249-6131 on Sept. 8 at 1 p.m.
