On Wednesday, October 9, Leda Summers passed away in La Cañada. Born on March 27,1924 in Greene County, Indiana, she and her husband moved to California in 1947 and settled in the La Crescenta area in 1948. They raised two sons, Marlin and Alan.
Leda worked for over 30 years as a seamstress. She was responsible for making samples for various clothing manufacturers. She was quite skilled and worked on everything from clothes for toddlers to the flame-retardant racing uniforms worn by racecar drivers in the Indianapolis 500.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and her son Alan. She is survived by her son Marlin, 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Directors: CrippenMortuary.com
